Who are you?

Nick Loritsch and Josh Dragge – friends, filmmakers and movie fanatics.  Tired of working for “the man,” we’re stepping out on our own to produce our first, full length, feature film.

Have you made any films before?

Yes.  Independently, and together, we’ve made numerous short films – as well as working on huge, Hollywood Features.  Please see “Videos” tab at the top of the page.

What’s your plan - in a nutshell?

To finance a low-budget, independent film.  This may be a fully financed picture, using unions, guilds, etc.  Or we may shoot on a “micro-budget,” using “guerilla” tactics and calling in every favor we have.  Regardless, we will walk away with a completed feature film that we will submit to Film Festivals, around the globe, to find distribution.

When are you planning on shooting this?

Our tentative “start date” for principal photography is late 2009 or early 2010.

Where are you planning on shooting this?

We plan on shooting this feature film, on location, in and/or around the Florida Panhandle due to the location being a “character” in the film itself.  Also, as Nick previously lived there, we will be able to call in numerous favors – helping the production.

What format will you be shooting on?

We will be shooting on High-Definition Video for numerous reasons including its cost-effectiveness and its quick ascension as the format of the future.  In layman’s terms, if it’s good enough for George Lucas, Michael Mann, Steven Soderbergh and Robert Rodriguez, it’s good enough for us.

Why did you create this website?

Two reasons.  One, we need your financial help and this website is the most efficient way to brief you on the project and our plans.  Two, everyone’s first question is, “Do you guys have a website?”

Do you have a screenplay?

Yes, we do.  Nick has been hammering away on it for over four years.  From page one, it was written with budget in mind, so that we could make this film, independently, with limited funds.  Most recently the script has made the semi and quarterfinals in the StoryPros and Screenwriting Expo Competitions.

What’s the difference between investing and supporting?

If you invest, you get a percentage of the potential profits.  If you support, you don’t.  Both investors and supporters will see their name in the tail credits of the film listed as an Associate Producer.  With that said, the difference between a supporter ($25) and investor is relatively small ($100), so if you’d like to see a possible return on your contribution, we urge you to invest – though we’re appreciative of it all.

Additional Note – Any extraordinary investors (decided on by the filmmaking team) will see their name in beginning credits.

Why should I become a Producer?

As Independent Films are made outside the studio system, they must pull their financing from the private sector.  With your financial help, you can become an Associate Producer and share in the excitement of making a feature film!

In regards to Investors, we’ll employ our best efforts to exploit this film in every possible market (domestic, foreign and ancillary) to maximize your rate of return.  Bottom line, if our film makes money, so do you!

When you say “Producer,” what does that mean exactly?

An Associate Producer is someone who, in some way, helped get a project made.  You, either as a “Supporter” or “Investor,” will become an Associate Producer.

If I invest, how are the revenues dispersed?

If this film turns a profit, investors will be paid back 100%, including a 10% return.  All further proceeds will be split 50-50 between the investors and the filmmaking team.

If you pulled together a minimum of $100 and invested, your “contact person” will receive the potential profits and will then be in charge of dispersing to the rest of your group.

What other successful films have been made at this size?

The list is long, but to note a couple highlights – Napoleon Dynamite ($400,000), Swingers ($250,000), Pi ($60,000), The Brothers McMullen ($25,000).
